Nadir of race relations in the United States
It would be thought that since America was fast developing and above all rising up as being the most civilized continent in the world, racism would be, if not a thing of the past, reduced to levels that did not have great impacts on the people. Unfortunately, this perception is all wrong as racism was at the peak during the late nineteen and early twentieth century. At this time, the whites, due to fear of miscegenation had resorted to racial prejudice and since the judicial system at the time was either corrupted or dysfunctional, they carried out mass murders on people of different races on false accusations, although in some cases the accusations were true. Note that most of the things that led to the deaths of the colored people were so petty like showing disrespect to white women.
It is important to understand that when racial relations are mentioned, it does not imply that the race was white against blacks. In most cases, people think that racial discrimination was only evident in African Americans. During Nadir, the lowest point in racial relations in the United States, the Chinese and African Americans suffered a great deal of lynching, mass killing, stereotyping and basically all kinds of racial discrimination. What is more is that the crimes they were alleged to have committed were sometimes fabricated to suite the purpose of the white Americans.
