Presenting an Argument

Introduction

An argument involves creating a well thought and reasoned conclusion in order to persuade your audience to come to your reasoning or at least seriously consider your point of view. It is therefore notable that in most cases, an argument will involve differing with the audience, which means that there will be situations where the argumentative conversation or essay will be heated up. This therefore creates a need for an individual to understand how to present arguments in an essay, or even when presenting an argument to an audience. The thumb of rule in this kind of an essay should be an understanding that the presenter should not fight with the audience; rather he will use facts and well researched information to persuade them to see his point. This essay presents mistakes that should be avoided an argument.

Argument presentation

When presenting an argument, it is important that one uses facts to support what he is arguing against or for. One should not make a mistake of imposing his views on the audience without evidence of what he intends to present otherwise there would not be a need for the argument in the first place. This could be done by appreciating the fact that your opponents or supporters of the issue that you have set out to argue against or for may critic your argument. In this kind of a situation, one can start by saying, “although some people might object to this, evidence points out that……..” this should alert you readers that you have studied widely on the topic of discussion.
