An argument involves creating a well thought and reasoned conclusion in order to persuade your audience to come to your reasoning or at least seriously consider your point of view. It is therefore notable that in most cases, an argument will involve differing with the audience, which means that there will be situations where the argumentative conversation or essay will be heated up.
