The beliefs system on which an individual is founded plays a very big role in determining the different view that one holds towards certain issues in the society. This makes individuals develop strong opinions that make them feel that they are right. Taking the core convictions of liberalism and conservatism into consideration, one is left capable in explaining and understanding different stands that people hold on certain issues and visions that they have for their country. Both of the above mentioned beliefs are completely in opposition of each other. While liberalist policies generally emphasizes the essence of the government in solving peoples problems, the conservative policies believe and emphasize on individuals empowerment in solving their own problems. From a personal point of view I believe that the independent or conservative political stance still stands more appropriate when it comes to dealing with American polity as this paper will explore.

1) Sanctioned practices and procedures of an ethical character

A professional political scientist holding on to conservative policies is engaged in professionally sanctioned practices and procedures of an ethical character in all rites. Taking the society for example, conservatism holds a very ethical view in believing that people in the society should be judged according to their merit. This puts emphasis on individualism independence and at the same time self reliance. On the other hand Liberalism views the society as comprised of groups; white and blacks, rich and poor and so on. The groups hold each other in spite. While liberalism breeds class envy, racialism and division conservatism elevates promotes respect as individuals is left to rely on themselves (Vile 37).
