Flydubai is a United Arab Emirates airline that was founded in the year 2008 (March). This is a low-cost airline and the founder is Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum who is the chairman of Emirates airline a company that is in the same business and one that supported Flydubai so much during its initial stages. After being established, four months later the airline entered into a written agreement with Boeing (American) which is one of the leading companies in the manufacture of aircrafts placing an order of more than fifty Boeing 737-800 aircrafts and this cost them more than four billion US dollars (Flydubai, 2010). The order was a flexible one and they could change to Boeing 737-900ER if need be. The airline colluded with Backcock & Brown leasing company for them to lease them other four 737-800s that were to be delivered the following year (2009). This saw the first 737-800 being delivered on May 2009 and the planned flights were instigated immediately. The travel services were offered to Beirut (Lebanon) as well as Amman (Jordan). The network of the routes and destination has been expanded greatly since that time and today it serves more that twenty six terminals in the asian region and beyond (Kemp, 2010).
