The reason for their migration is on no doubt that they were searching for jobs. But the how did they choose to migrate to America? The answer differs for each immigrant who arrived in the country at different eras.

The immigrants of the African American native came to the America due to the slavery trade. After the end of the slave trade, most of the African followed the route of the slaves in search for job opportunities. Like all the other immigrants, they subjected to the authorities at the Ellis Island for vetting before entering the country. Their mood wasn’t showing any happiness considering the strictness of the authorities and the possibility of being returned back home. The treatment of the immigrants at the island was devastating; being carried in the third class carriage in the train like cattle was one of the brutalities on them. Though the days we talk of are about centuries ago, the human feeling did not take place in anyway. After the hard struggle to arrive at the America, the immigrant were offered a cold welcome; being marked using the chalk, being charged some fee and other behaviors in the island of Ellis were basically inhuman to the immigrant.
