The play ‘A woman of no importanceÂ’ by Wilde is based on social setting of the society when the issue of money and pleasure as the fundamental aspect among communities. The author considers various aspects that influenced the life of individuals based on the environment. Women are critically portrayed both in their development notion in the society in relation to modification of social structures on the basis of material gains and success. This was due to the fact that poor Mrs. Arbuthnot was determined in raise her son legitimately.
