Brain and Attention
Topic: Brain and Attention
The concept of separated and interconnected brain networks is an issue that is more than a concept but a reality of what is in existence and operation in the brain. Results form a research that was conducted on November 2, 2010 at the University of Utah has been a huge reinforcement to the knowledge already in existence about the interconnection between the various parts of the brain in achieving overall attention (Taylor, 2010). It is actually as a result of the interconnectivity that the brain is capable (under optimal conditions) to perform relatively equally in visual, motor, sensory and even cognitive cues. The key area for processing attention which is found at the intraparietal sulcus is found in between the different regions of the brain that enable the fulfillment of different cues. It is actually a coordination that is brought about by the intraparietal sulcus that the brain is capable of achieving attention in different levels according to the attention cue in place. This well built coordination that is offered about the brain even in the most recent research is far much more convincing to the fact that the interconnected brain networks make absolute sense and are a true representation of the situation in the brain.
