In this topic, Walsh examines the possibilities of slow foods slowly replacing the traditional fast foods that have gained momentum in their development. The argument put forth by this article is that it is important for people in the world to mind their diets and the origins of food that they consume. The article agrees that there are huge problems with the global food system and thus it should be justified that people should know exactly what they consume, its origin and its repercussion.
However, the arguments put forth in the argument put forth is challenged by the fact that there is a greater food problem in the globe that makes it hard for people to care little about the origin of what they consume. The article, however, does not disregard the benefits of foods that are generated through genetic engineering, it only emphasizes on the need for people to be careful with what ends up into their plates and also pay attention to the origin of this food.
